When You Get Rid of Your Cat . . .

 August 5, 2019

So, first things first, remember that Rat/actually a cat problem we had a couple weeks ago? So, turns out we weren't entirely wrong!! Looks like we should have kept the cat because as soon as we got rid of it the myth we had heard from old elders, of a mouse by the name of Jarol turned out not to be a myth! We saw him multiple times upstairs and so after chasing him we found out that he lives in a hole in the concrete underneath our stairs. So instead of running the risk of getting locked out of the kitchen again, we decided just to buy a trap! And that was the end of Jarol.

RIP Jarol

This week we had our zone activity where we did a Talent show which is usually pretty legit with Africans and just turns into a dance party. Our district did a rap of the First lesson (which not to brag or anything was pretty sweet), Others danced, and another one did an interpretation of our mission president which was weirdly accurate. We were able to fix baptismal dates with a bunch of our amis this week and they should be getting baptized either the last week of this mutation or the start of the next. I'm hoping that, hopefully, I will get to stick around to do a 3rd transfer with Elder Udo Bassey
Little drummer boy. Remember him, he is gonna be famous someday. no joke this kid was insanely good!!

I had an experience this week that made me so insanely grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost. Sometimes we don't know what we have until it is gone and so sometimes, we forget that the Holy Ghost is our constant companion and begin to doubt whether or not he is with us. But I testify that as long as we are worthy, he will be our constant companion. He is not just there to guide us, but to (as Alma said) enlighten us with intelligence, bring us light, and widen our soul. Believe it or not, when you have this gift, even on your darkest days and in your darkest times, you can see the world through light. It is only when we don't have the holy ghost with us that we are truly in the dark.
Love y'all!!

Nope, this hole doesn't lead to wonderland! This is definitely the coolest well I've seen so far and it was really trippy walking up to it just thinking that it was a stack of tires.

This is an amazing man we have been teaching! He is an 87-year-old Muslim who loves to hear the word and sadly probably won't be baptized in this life, but seeing his commitment to God, that's a different question in the life to come 😉

March 24, 2020 Welp, definitely during the whole last week never did I think that during that same week I would be home! The week was going...
