Dogs are Next to the Chickens . . .

Lillis baptism

Alright, to start off, plug your ears (or eyes) if you are a part of any humane society, are vegan, or have any feelings for your pet dog. Today we went to this big market that sells tons of stuff to buy some food, etc and were just kind of looking around when we walked into the area where you can buy live meat. There were all kinds of stuff - chickens, turkeys, geese, guinea pigs, these guinea fowls, and right in the cages with all of them there were cats and these little dogs. So, Elder Bullock and I bought one for pretty cheap and the elder in our apartment knows how to cook so we are going to eat it tomorrow night. Right now we are thinking of names for it for just today so I am open for suggestions if any of you got ideas hehe.
Sister teaching us how to make Patte

We had a baptism this week for this girl named Lilli who is living with the Seur Gentille. I don't know what it is with taxis here but I could just go on and on with taxi stories. But once again we had to fit an overweight limit of people in the taxi because we had only gotten one to take their whole family to this baptism. Well, Seur Gentille had to babysit this child named Sami who is probably about 3. The only problem is, is that he has never seen a white person before AND he has never been in a car. And at this time I'm starting to think that these are his two biggest fears 'cause he is going super insane as they are trying to get him into the car on everyone else. I didn't think that Elder Bullock and I were that ugly but something about our faces this kid did not like. Anyway, we drove to the baptism, Sami bawling in the front and a little kid named Ange eating a bowl of bread in the trunk but we made it and the baptism went amazing! After a while I got him to give us a high five, then he gifted us his tissue from his tears, and then the rest is history! haha turns out he is a super cute kid and he followed us around the whole baptism so now we got him "yovoized".

This week was awesome and packed with tons of lessons. It was also sweet because in 2 lessons with amis we had both times just a friend of the person we were teaching sitting there and ended up teaching them too and are now starting to teach them as well. Haha got to love it when your amis give you amis! Something I learned this week was that there is a lot of bad out there, but it is nothing. NOTHING in comparison with the power of God. I testify to all of you that as long as we are doing what we are suppose to and are worthy and striving to keep the covenants we have made, God will keep his promise and will protect us when things and the adversary seek to destroy us. The Holy Ghost is the best gift out there so recognize that and use it every day because it has been given to us to use!!
Alright if this is not the world record for the smallest church... I don't know what is!

Hehe oh, and btw GOTCHA just kidding about buying the dog! (but y'all won't ever actually know now will you ðŸ˜‰) I had been picking up hints that they eat dog just by seeing dogs in cages on the road but it didn't get confirmed until today! Don't worry I won't go out of my way to eat man's best friend.
